About Kelechi

 Kelechi is the founder and director of KU Consultations.  She has worked 16 years to the within the NHS alongside various professional in dofferent sectors.

Kelechi Ukandu is an independent Safeguarding Consultant with expertise in the area of child protection, child exploitation, child sexual abuse and cultural competency. She has more than 16 years of experience working within the NHS acute and community sector. And has held several leadership roles as a nurse, Health Visitor, Safeguarding Advisor, Child Protection Specialist and Named Nurse for Child Protection. Most recently, she has undertaken work independent reviewer for children’s services and led in child safeguarding practice review work

Kelechi is an associate trainer at Listen Up Research who lead in delivering adultification and intersectionality training in the UK. She is also an SLIP Reviewer, a Board Member of the Association of Child Protection Practitioners, an accredited Safeguarding Supervisor, a Mentor and Facilitator, and a Child Safeguarding [AOCPP] Trainer for Levels 1-3.
